Tonight's topic: "Top 5 best/worst WrestleMania celebrity appearances"! All this tonight! ![]() by Thomas Keister Seems that in Sony's recent blockbuster deal with the estate of Michael Jackson, there is mention of video game rights through 2017. Another Michael Jackson video game? At this point in history? Sounds like we have the most awkward PS3 game ever on the horizon. Think Guitar Hero with one of those courtroom dolls as the peripheral... It is hardly surprising to me that the insurance industry is getting in all the sucker punches they can as health care reform looms in the future. This time around, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas denied coverage for a 10-day-old, calling his congenital heart defect a preexisting condition. This one has pulled far ahead of the pack for absolute fucking douche move of 2010. If stories like this do not manage to convince you the health care system in this country needs to be reformed in any manner, then you are probably the kind of douche that could justify the actions of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas... For all you athiests out there, God (or Higher Being of your choice) is listening. MTV will cancel The Hills after its upcoming sixth season, leaving Heidi Montag and company plenty more free time to feed their individual delusions. It's nice. It's as if a million reality show fans cried out...and were ignored... Probably Uncalled For airs live Wednesday nights at 11pm Eastern on Blog Talk Radio, and is available on iTunes. ![]() by Thomas Keister Okay, let me get this straight...the Obama Administration plans to go ahead with a reported $237 million purchase of Thomson Correctional Center in Thomson, Illinois, whether or not Congress decides to allow terrorism suspects to be transferred there. If all else fails, the plan is for the facility to house high-security federal inmates. Fair enough. I mean, after all, it is a prison. So why not save the nearly quarter-billion dollar price tag to the taxpayers and use the prison, as it stands now, to house inmates already serving time in Illinois? For starters, the state of Illinois is like two-thirds of the other 49 states in the country, so broke if it cost a nickel to take a shit, they would have to puke. Second, President Obama is pushing for the purchase to "fulfill both of the goals of reducing federal prison overcrowding and transferring a limited number of detainees out of Guantanamo." What? Seriously? The solution to reducing federal prison overcrowding is to buy an empty prison and fill it right the hell back up? This is neither hope nor change. Solving overcrowding in the federal prison system by merely adding more cells, and at a cost of $237 million, is a "let them eat cake" answer that hardly has anything to do with the question at hand. Ending federal prison overcrowding should be an easy fix. Cut loose all the non-violent drug offenders serving proxy time for a kingpin that will never be caught, or boosting a self-important prosecutor's political ambitions, and not only would you reduce overcrowding, but you might even find enough space for the real criminals- the murderers, rapists, meth dealers, and hot female teachers banging students for a smack on the wrist. If you want to argue the War on Drugs with me, that's fine...one you get a coherent argument that possessing an ounce of weed is worse than statutory rape or sex abuse. Bottom line: This sounds like a prime example of President Obama's "shovel-ready" spiel, only you do not want to know what that shovel is handle deep in... ![]() by Inside the Squared Circle, "David Arquette winning the WCW Title - I never saw it coming! That's what makes you guys so great, every show is unpredictable. WWF is just the same shit every week with The Rock doing his stupid catchphrases. Keep up the good work guys!" "world championship WRESTLING is awesome guys! i can't stand that wwf smut television. i want wrestling not a bunch of half naked woman in their underwear!!" "NITRO rocked it 2nite. now that fans know mike awesome is in wcw the ratings will be through the roof. ecw gets 1.0 on tnn and wcw gets 2.8, so next week all the ecw fans will tune in and wcw will get a 3.8." "Dont worry about the ratings, keep doing good shows and ratings will get better as time goes on. People seem to forget that wcw has only been around since 1990 while wwf has been around for over 50 years." "WWF was up the road about 30 miles but I decided to go to nitro instead since i got free tickets. WCW cares about their fans, WWF would never get away tickets like that! WCW RULZ!" "Those WWF marks take shots at WCW when they dont realize WWF is trash! constant blood and cussing? the worm? hardcore title? does this sound like a wrestling show???" "I think Nitro is great but it needs to be four hours so you have not one but TWO unopposed hours prior to RAW starting." "All WWF does is steal talent from WCW like Chris Benoit and Chris Jericho. WCW makes their own stars like Three Count and Tank Abbott. WCW 4-Life!" "RAW IS BORE!!! Ratings dont matter! 2.5 vs. 6.0, as the rock would say, IT DOESN'T MATTER!!!!!!!! All that matters is that Nitro is the best show e-e-everrrrr and that's the bottom line!" "wwf is too violent for my kids to watch. i like wcw because all members of the family can watch. keep up the good work! - ps, was that ketchup that vampiro dropped on sting?" "WCW is the best wrestling company in the world with ORIGINAL ideas! Starrcade was a great show, loved it when Bret Hart put the sharpshooter on Goldberg and Roddy Piper rang the bell!" "Jeff Jarrett is the chosen one and wwe didn't use him right! He's more entertaining and a better wrestler than the rock who only has six moves." "WWF does the same matches every week. rock vs. hhh, austin vs. undertaker, BORING. This week's nitro main event was Sid Vicious vs. The Wall, it's a match we've NEVER seen before. thats why i like wcw better." "I loved Scott steiner's shoot on ric flair from nitro. the only part i disagreed with when he said wcw sucks. wcw does not suck! although i havent seen much lately since i am waiting for my buddy to send me some vhs copies of the recent ppvs that i didn't order."
