Free Rein Media is an integrated media production and holdings company based in the Louisville, Kentucky - Southern Indiana area. Founded January 1, 2007 by longtime friends and business partners Darrell Mays and Dr. Thomas Keister, Free Rein Media represents a consolidation of previous and planned entertainment projects.
Currently, Free Rein Media produces two award-nominated live weekly Internet talk radio shows; Inside the Squared Circle, a smart and insightful analysis into the world of professional wrestling hosted by "The Internet Legend" ppdingles, and Probably Uncalled For, an often outrageous current affairs and pop culture show hosted by syndicated columnist and author Thomas Keister. Both shows have been nominated multiple times for Best Podcast honors at the Bloggers Choice Awards. Free Rein Media also publishes a variety of digital and print books using Lulu.com's extensive marketplace as a distribution point. In addition to titles by Darrell Mays and Thomas Keister, we feature works by former professional wrestling personality/blogger Tommy Chronic (...chemically fulfilled...) and a variety of educational and informational works. As of February 1, 2009, Free Rein Media has published and made available nine titles in print and download formats, with plans to release more titles throughout 2010. In addition to our online entertainment pursuits, we are exploring several online merchandising and retail options.
